Pastor Winborne

 REV. WILBUR D. WINBORNE SR. serves as the Pastor of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Woodbury, NJ. He is married to Rosa Lynn and they are the parent’s of three children, Wilbur Jr., Yvonne and Novella.  Pastor Winborne was born and raised in Southwest Philadelphia, attended Larchwood S.D.A. Christian Day School, then St. Joseph’s Preparatory School for Boys, received a B.S. in Business Administration from St. Joseph’s University, and a Masters of Divinity from the Conservation Baptist Seminary of the East. Presently, he is enrolled at Bethel Seminary of the East working on a Doctor of Ministry Degree in Transformational Leadership.  He is a graduate from the Christian Research & Development’s Biblical Counseling Program, where he received a certificate in June of 2000. 

 Pastor Winborne hope and desire is to “faithfully feed the flock of God” so that they mature in ministry and can faithfully minister within the church and the world. The driving force behind the spiritual formation of every member is the expository teaching and preaching of the Bible. In addition to teaching and preaching at Bethlehem, Pastor has served in the Bethany Baptist Association Congress of Christian Education and the Pennsylvania State Congress of Christian Education. He has held and participated in several conferences and regularly teaches Biblical Counseling II at the Living Word Biblical Counseling Center (Woodbury, NJ).

 Pastor Winborne’s “father in the ministry” is Rev. Charles Walker, Pastor of the Nineteenth Street Baptist Church in Philadelphia. Licensed in 1990 and ordained in 1993 Rev. Winborne served as Assistant to the Pastor. From 1990 to 1996 Pastor Winborne was blessed to serve in full time ministry learning the day to day function of the church as well as experienced the joys of hands on ministry. Prior to entering ministry, Pastor Winborne worked for nine years as a Sales Representative for the Dial Corporation working in the Philadelphia area. Pastor Winborne began ministry at Bethlehem on the first Sunday in January 1997.

 Pastor Winborne serves as a member of the US Council for African Inland Missions (Pearl River, NY), as a Board Member for Alpha Pregnancy, and is a Board Member for America’s KESWICK and is a member of the Ministers Conference of Woodbury and Vicinity.
